    This page documents the XBT (eXpendable Bathy Thermograph) dataset from the Santa Barbara Channel/Santa Maria Basin Circulation Study funded by the Minerals Management Service (MMS). This project is ongoing; the XBT surveys began in September of 1994 with Cruise 7. This page discusses the collection and processing of the data, and shows maps and transects from each cruise.
