Santa Barbara Channel - Santa Maria Basin Circulation Study

Mooring Locations:
You can access the SBCSMB mooring data for a particular mooring by clicking the mooring location on the map or on the mooring name below.The Santa Barbara Channel moorings are noted in blue. These mooring were deployed from December 1993 until January 1996. The Santa Maria Basin moorings, noted in yellow, were deployed from March 1996 until November 1999. The four long term moorings: SAMI, SMIN, SMOF and ANMI, noted in red, have been deployed since early 1992.
Downward looking Acoustic Doppler Current Profilers (ADCP) have been in place on four NDBC buoys over the course of the SBCSMB deployment. These sites are noted in black on the map.
